This is your point of registration for the GCR Fun Groups event.
NOTE: This event will be run in combination with the SCCA Track Night in America event and the schedule will be integrated.

GCR Fun Group 1 – Small Bore Close Wheel Cars – Includes SRF
GCR Fun Group 2 – Big Bore Closed Wheel Cars
GCR Fun Group 3 – All Open Cars

Registration will be through MSR www.motorsportreg.com only. All drivers and workers must check in at registration (Gate 3) to receive your special wrist band for the day. All drivers and crew who are involved in racing for weekend must go back to registration Friday evening and complete their registration for the weekend and receive their required wrist band. The Mid-Ohio wrist band will be good all 3 days. Friday event only, crew is a cold pass only.

Drivers must be a current member of the SCCA and have a current SCCA Full Competition, SCCA Pro License, SCCA Novice Permit or other license referenced by GCR 3.1.2.B & C. and Appendix C.2.8.B to participate in this event.

Up to 40 cars per group. If Group1 gets too full, SRF will be moved into Group 3.

Sessions for the Friday are not timed.

Clock starts when cars are released from grid.

Checkered Flag will be shown at Start Stand, Stations 5, 9 and 11 to end session.

After seeing all 4 checkered flags (1st being at start), if someone then blows the checkered, the whole group is penalized 5 minutes for the start of their next session.

MINOR DRIVERS: (14, 15, 16 and 17-year-old drivers) must have a current minor waiver on file with the SCCA National Office and the driver’s membership card must show “Minor Waiver on File”. If the above requirement is not met, the minor driver will not be allowed to race. THERE IS NO EXCEPTION TO THIS SCCA RULE.

ON COURSE DRIVER CONDUCT and CONTACT: All on track body contact (including contact during drafting) that causes a car to act erratically and results in a change in position or a car leaving the course will be investigated. If you are involved in contact, you are to report to black flag station (base of the tower) at the conclusion of your session/race. Remember this is a fun event – GREEN TO CHECKERED ALL DAY.

There will be no PROTESTS for on Friday.

All passes under yellow will be investigated. A verified violation of this section will result in penalties as outlined in the 2025 Penalty Guidelines.

The Black Flag will be displayed at the Starters Stand and Turn 11 on the left before the Carousel turn and the Pit entrance. The driver must go to the Black Flag (across from the start/finish stand @ the 5 story).

Paddock speed limit is 10 mph. Drivers, when going to grid, tech and returning to your paddock must use caution. Caution must be used at all intersections. There are others using the same roadways. Anyone operating any motorized vehicle on the track property must have a valid driver’s license (any state) and present it to any official upon request. Hover boards, skates, razors, scooters, and skateboards (with or w/o motor) are banned. Unlicensed motor scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, etc., cannot leave the paddock except to go to the grid or showers. Golf carts do not need a license.
